"There are two principle parts of the light which still remains in corrupt nature: first, the seed of religion is planted in all men; next, the distinction between good and evil is engraved on their consciences" (J. Calvin).
'Nothing in history has been able to halt the grim shadow of ‘the prophet’ across the face of human history except for the Risen Christ, who brings trust in the place of terror, forgiveness in the face of fanaticism, and culture and experience of life in the face of a culture and experience of death.' -Gavin Ashenden
Salman Abedi was not some unknown apparently integrated second-generation Muslim who suddenly decided to commit an atrocity. He was known to his community and the security forces as an Islamic radical. Until we make clear that, sorry, but no free speech for Islamists, we will remain vulnerable. And why not internment? If Abedi had been stuck in an internment camp on Dartmoor he would not be blowing people up in Manchester. Internment without trial is not a sign of a destabilised society but one defending its values.

Do you mortify? Do you make it your daily work? Be always at it whilst you live; cease not a day from this work; be killing sin or it will be killing you. John Owen
